In 1963, Jim Moon set out with a simple idea: manufacture quality chemical compounds and sell them directly to customers under their own private labels. His strategy worked. Car wash compounds, janitorial cleaning supplies, industrial water treatment chemicals and automotive paint strippers rolled out of the plant — and kept rolling.
Jeff Schulhoff joined the company as a salesman in 1981. Seventeen years later, in 1998, Jeff and his wife Nedra took ownership, keeping the company family-owned and family-run. Today Moon Chemical operates more than 70,000 square feet of manufacturing space on over four acres in Oklahoma City — with plenty of room left to grow.
