Company History

Moon Chemical Products was founded in 1963 by Jim Moon. Jim's dream was  to build a company that would manufacture chemical compounds and be able  to ship directly to customers under a private label. His strategy  proved successful as he began to produce car wash compounds, janitorial  cleaning supplies, industrial water treatment chemicals, and paint  strippers for the automotive industry. The company's reputation grew as  customers realized they could rely on Moon Chemical's quality and  expedited service, allowing them to concentrate on sales development and  marketing.

Jim moved the business to its current location in  1979 and expanded its size in 1985 to more than 30,000 square feet of  manufacturing and storage space. Located on over 4 acres of land, there is still plenty of room for expansion.

Jeff Schulhoff, current owner, joined Moon Chemical in 1981 as a salesman. In 1998, Jim passed the reins over to Jeff and his wife, Nedra, so Moon Chemical could  continue growing.

Today, 53 years later, Moon Chemical operates  in more than 70,000 square feet and still takes great pride in  manufacturing the highest quality, most price-efficient products  available for our customers. We continue to maintain the high level of integrity established by Jim Moon in 1963.
